Regardless of the ticket type, all visitors are typically limited to 5–10 minutes on the glass walkway to ensure everyone has a chance to experience it. This VIP ticket is primarily useful for tourists with a tight itinerary who cannot afford to wait several hours in line.
Capacity Limits: While the bridge is structurally capable of holding 100 people, authorities strictly limit entry to 40 people at a time for safety and to maintain the thrill of the transparent floor.
Vizag Glass Bridge Timings:
Operating Hours: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM (All days)
Important Note: The ticket counter usually closes between 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM. Although the bridge may remain open until 8:30 PM to accommodate those already in line, it is best to arrive early to ensure you secure a ticket.
Details of Visakhapatnam's Kailasagiri Glass Bridge:
The glass bridge has been built through a ₹6–7 crore public-private partnership between the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) and RJ Adventures, designed to boost adventure tourism.
This is the longest cantilever glass bridge, stretching 55 meters with a vertical drop of 262 meters and no support underneath, surpassing Kerala’s Vagamon Glass Bridge, which is 40 meters long and can hold up to 40 people at a time, offering both thrill and safety.
Construction of the bridge began in June 2025. It was initially expected to be completed and opened to the public by the end of July. However, the construction work was fully completed in the last week of August. In the first week of September, many influencers visited the Skywalk Bridge and shared some amazing videos. It was officially opened to the public on December 1st, 2025.
