On July 3, 2025, Dolby Laboratories inaugurated India’s first Dolby Cinema at City Pride Multiplex, Kharadi, Pune. This launch marked India’s entry into a global network of Dolby Cinemas already present in more than 20 countries.
Following the Pune debut, Dolby announced partnerships with five more cinema chains to expand its footprint. While Pune is operational, the other five locations are expected to roll out gradually this year:

AMB Cinemas officially debuted on 16 January 2026 at the historic Kapali Theatre site in Gandhi Nagar, introducing South India’s first Dolby Cinema experience. The launch was announced by Superstar Mahesh Babu, who co-owns the venture with Asian Cinemas.
The multiplex features nine advanced screens, with Screen 6 being the flagship Dolby Cinema auditorium. It offers 586 seats65 ft curved Scope (2.39:1) screen equipped with Dolby Vision dual 4K RGB pure laser projection and Dolby Atmos immersive audio for an unmatched cinematic experience.
AMB Cinemas Bengaluru also includes the M Lounge, offering premium recliner seating, a multi‑cuisine menu, and a seven‑star ambiance, making it one of the most luxurious multiplexes in Karnataka.
