Dolby Cinema Screens in India 2026 (Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Trichy, Ulikkal)
Dolby Cinemas is on a mission to open five screens this year. The Indian cinema industry has always been at the forefront of innovation, from single-screen theaters to multiplex chains like PVR-INOX, Cinepolis, and IMAX.
A new chapter began with the arrival of Dolby Cinemas in India, combining cutting-edge Dolby Vision with ultra-vivid colors and the sharper contrast of 4K laser projection, along with Dolby Atmos immersive 3D surround sound featuring overhead speakers. These two technologies deliver an unparalleled movie experience for audiences, with auditorium design emphasizing premium seating, comfort, and luxury.
On July 3, 2025, Dolby Laboratories inaugurated India’s first Dolby Cinema at City Pride Multiplex, Kharadi, Pune. This launch marked India’s entry into a global network of Dolby Cinemas already present in more than 20 countries.
Following the Pune debut, Dolby announced partnerships with five more cinema chains to expand its footprint. While Pune is operational, the other five locations are expected to roll out gradually this year:
- Allu Cineplex, Hyderabad (Telangana)
- LA Cinema, Trichy (Tamil Nadu)
- AMB Cinemas, Bengaluru (Karnataka)
- EVM Cinemas, Kochi (Kerala)
- G Cineplex, Ulikkal (Kerala)
