Vizag (Visakhapatnam) is gearing up for an exciting season of road races in 2026, with events ranging from community runs and 5K races to half marathons and the city’s flagship full marathon. The 5th Edition of the DCB Bank Vizag Half Marathon, powered by VTRA, is scheduled for 4 October 2026 at GITAM University, with 3K, 5K, 10K and 21.1K categories.

The SBI Green Marathon – Vizag will follow on 22 November 2026 at Ramakrishna Beach, offering timed 21K and 10K races along with a non-timed 5K. The event combines distance running with an emphasis on environmental sustainability.

On 29 November 2026, the Sandhya Marines Vizag Marathon is scheduled to bring runners to the city's scenic coastal roads. Its programme includes a 20-mile race, 21K, 10K and 5K categories.

The major highlight of the season is the 11th Edition of the Vizag Navy Marathon, scheduled for 13 December 2026 as part of the Navy Day celebrations. Organised by the Eastern Naval Command of the Indian Navy, the event will feature 42K, 21K, 10K and 5K races, starting from Vishwapriya Function Hall at RK Beach. Registration is scheduled to open on 4 October 2026.

With the Bay of Bengal, Eastern Ghats and Vizag's iconic coastline providing the backdrop, these races offer runners an opportunity to experience the city from a unique perspective while celebrating fitness, endurance and the vibrant running culture of Visakhapatnam.
