Vizag Is Becoming India’s Next Cruise Tourism Hub with International Cruise Terminal

Visakhapatnam has officially anchored itself on India’s cruise tourism map. On July 2, 2025, the MV Empress, operated by Cordelia Cruises, was flagged off from the newly inaugurated Vizag International Cruise Terminal, marking a historic milestone for Andhra Pradesh’s coastal economy.

Vizag is quickly turning into a major hub for cruise travel on India’s east coast. With the opening of the Vizag International Cruise Terminal and the arrival of luxury ships like the MV Empress from Cordelia Cruises, the city is gaining attention for its growing cruise tourism.

The Vizag International Cruise Terminal is built with modern and high-quality facilities. It is operated and managed by the Visakhapatnam Port Authority.
