Yarada Beach Vizag (Visakhapatnam): How to Reach & Timings
Yarada Beach is one of the most serene beaches in Vizag. This beach is referred to as a hidden coastal gem, with a less-commercialized shoreline nestled between lush green hills on three sides and golden sands. Experiencing sunrise and sunset views is best from this place with peaceful atmosphere with fewer crowd or no crowd few days. There is one private beach area nearby where public entry is not allowed.
How to Reach Yarada Beach and Best Visiting Hours
To visit, take the Yarada Hills ghat road to reach the beach. It is a very less crowded beach. There is no entry fee to access the ghat road or to enter the beach. The preferable time to visit is between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m.
For tourists, the most convenient option to reach this beach is to take a private cab or auto. Do not wait for a city bus, as buses on this route are less frequent. There are no direct buses to beach. So better you skip the bus.
Self-driving is possible, but the ghat road can be steep and winding, so caution is advised.
Getting There
From Visakhapatnam Railway Station, it’s about a 14–19 km drive, roughly 30–40 minutes depending on traffic.
From the Vizag RTC Bus Complex (Dwaraka Nagar), expect around 21 km, taking 40–45 minutes.
From Visakhapatnam Airport (VTZ), it’s about 20 km, taking 25–30 minute ride.
Note: Most importantly, Facilities around Yarada Beach are limited. You won’t find any shops or restaurants nearby, so it’s best to carry your own snacks, food, and water.
