Goodachari 2 (G2) Movie Film Updates 2026: Current Status of the Shoot
The 2018 Telugu super hit film “Goodachari” has a sequel titled “G2: Agent 116 Reporting to Duty.” “G2” refers to “Goodachari 2,” one of the highly anticipated spy action thrillers from Tollywood, starring lead actor Adivi Sesh. He will continue as Agent Gopi in “G2,” alongside Banita Sandhu as the lead actress. Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi plays the antagonist role. Wamiqa Gabbi and Madhu Shalini also star in pivotal roles.
The film is currently under the direction of Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, who previously worked as an assistant director for the original film “Goodachari.” The film is co-produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal, under the banners of People Media Factory, Abhishek Agarwal Arts, and AK Entertainments.
In January 2023, Adivi Sesh officially announced the sequel to “Goodachari,” unveiling the pre-vision video of the film “G2” on January 9 at grand launch events held in Mumbai and Delhi.
“Goodachari 2” (G2) is a pan-Indian film that will be released globally in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. While the entire story of “Goodachari” (2018) was set in India and Bangladesh, “Goodachari 2” (G2) takes place internationally. The sequel will pick up from where “Goodachari” left off in the Alps Mountains.
The movie’s official release date is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Sesh’s latest project Dacoit hit theatres on April 10, 2026 and is currently running successfully, keeping audiences engaged while the spy thriller sequel remains in production.
