Free Entry to VMRDA Parks and Museums on World Tourism Day 27 September
The Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) announced free public entry to all its major parks and museums on Sunday, September 27.

Parks in Visakhapatnam
Kailasagiri Park, perched on a scenic hilltop between MVP Colony and Sagar Nagar, features expansive landscaped gardens, statues, and panoramic coastal viewpoints.
Closer to the urban center, the VMRDA City Central Park in Dwarka Nagar (near the RTC Complex) provides illuminated musical fountains and walking trails.
VUDA Park (VMRDA Park) spans recreational lawns right on the coastline in Pandurangapuram, and Sivaji Park serves as a prominent neighborhood green space in Sivajipalem.
Museums in Visakhapatnam
The city’s major maritime and heritage installations are concentrated along the coastline and institutional zones. Directly on RK Beach Road in Pandurangapuram, visitors can walk through the preserved INS Kursura Submarine Museum on the beach, the TU-142 Aircraft Museum housed inside a decommissioned reconnaissance plane directly opposite, and the adjacent Sea Harrier Museum.
Further more at Beach Road in Maharanipeta, the Visakha Museum (Corporation Museum) operates out of a historic 19th-century Dutch bungalow to showcase regional maritime antiquities, royal heirlooms, and archival weapons
