What is Microsoft Rewards?
Microsoft Rewards is a free loyalty program where you collect points just by doing everyday tasks like searching on Bing, browsing with Edge, and completing small daily quizzes. In July 2025, Microsoft updated the structure to a three-tier system made up of Member, Silver, and Gold levels, which controls how many points you can collect each day.
My Earnings and Gift Card Redemption Journey of Microsoft Bing Rewards
I have been using this regularly for around two and a half years now, and as of September 21, 2026, I have collected a lifetime total of 67,872 points. My current unspent balance sits at 30,000 points. Over this time, I used 37,905 points to cash out five ₹500 gift cards, totaling ₹2,500 in value.
My first redemption was an Amazon Pay ₹500 voucher on May 9, 2024, which cost 7,840 points. I claimed another ₹500 Amazon Pay card on June 24, 2024, for the same 7,840 points. In 2025, I switched to Croma vouchers, claiming three ₹500 gift cards: the first on June 8 for 7,475 points, the second on July 22 for 7,275 points, and the third on December 24 for 7,375 points.
I have not redeemed any vouchers in 2026 yet, mainly because popular options like Amazon or Croma are frequently out of stock or the available brands are not relevant to me right now.
Microsoft Bing Rewards Monthly Points Breakdown in India
To understand how much you can earn monthly in India, it helps to break down the tier limits and bonus pools. At 3 points per search across a 30-day month, a base Member tier user can earn 15 points per day from searches, adding up to 450 search points a month. Silver tier doubles that limit to 30 points per day, giving 900 monthly search points. Gold tier users can earn up to 60 points per day from 20 searches, totaling 1,800 monthly search points.
Beyond searches, there are fixed monthly bonuses tied to each tier. You get a monthly level maintenance bonus of 60 points for Member, 180 points for Silver, and 420 points for Gold just for maintaining your status. If you use Bing as your default search engine on a PC for at least 14 days in a month, you receive another default browser bonus of 30, 90, or 210 points depending on your tier. There is also an organic search engagement bonus called the Bing Star bonus, which maxes out at 300 points for Member, 900 for Silver, and 2,100 for Gold.
