Vizag Cruise Terminal: New Cruise Ship Terminal in Vizag
Vizag Port Cruise Terminal Project
Development of Vizag’s most prestigious cruise terminal project works are in full swing with almost 90% construction and infrastructure works are completed according to the reports from officials. Vizag Cruise Terminal has a 330-meter-long cruise berth that can accommodate up to 2,500 passengers. This New Vizag Cruise terminal is likely to be open and operational from September or October 2023.
This Cruise Terminal will have a passengers lounge with a seating capacity of 2000 - 2500 passengers, customs, immigration counters, restaurants, lounges, recreation area, cafeteria, duty free shops, currency exchange counters and restrooms. The total cost of the Vizag Cruise Terminal project is 103 Crore.
One more Cruise Ship is likely to start from Vizag soon. As per the reports from K. Rama Mohan Rao, the chairman of the Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA). Well known Cruise Lines MSC Cruises have approached Visakhapatnam Port Authority and expressed interest to operate their cruise ships from Visakhapatnam.
Now, two well-known companies, Cordelia and MSC Cruise Lines, will open offices in Vizag (Visakhapatnam) and operate their cruise ships locally. This is probably going to strengthen Vizag's economy and tourism.
