Swachh Survekshan Survey Awards Ceremony Took Place on  July 17, 2025 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

On July 17, 2025, the Swachh Survekshan 2024–25 awards were presented by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. A total of 78 awards were given across four categories:

  • Super Swachh League Cities
  • Top three cleanest cities in each of five population brackets
  • Special categories: Ganga Towns, Cantonment Boards, Safai Mitra Suraksha, Mahakumbh
  • State-level award: Promising Clean City of each State/UT

Indore topped the Million-Plus Cities (> 10 lakh) category for the eighth consecutive year; Surat and Navi Mumbai placed second and third in the Central government’s annual cleanliness survey.

Super Swachh League 2024–2025 Award Winners

  • Million-plus cities (population > 10 lakh): Indore, Surat, Navi Mumbai, and Vijayawada were awarded Super Swachh League status for their outstanding performance in the million-plus category.
  • Big cities (population between 3 – 10 lakh): Noida, Chandigarh, Mysuru, Ujjain, Gandhinagar, and Guntur were awarded Super Swachh League honors in the 3 – 10 lakh population category.
  • Medium cities (population between 50,000 – 3 lakh): New Delhi Municipal Council, Tirupati, Ambikapur, and Lonavala were awarded for their consistent top-level cleanliness in the 50,000 – 3 lakh population range.
  • Small cities (population between 20,000 – 50,000): Vita, Sasvad, Deolali Pravara, and Dungarpur earned Super Swachh League status in the 20,000 – 50,000 category.
  • Very small cities (population less than 20,000): Panchgani, Patan Panhala, Bishrampur, and Bubdi were recognized for their continued excellence in sanitation in the below 20,000 population category.
