Season 4 of Andhra Premier League Announced

The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) has announced Season 4 of the Andhra Premier League (APL). This season is approved by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Season 4 will feature seven teams, up from six last year. The tournament will run from August 8 to August 24, 2025.

There will be 25 matches in total: 21 league games and four playoff matches. All matches will be played at the ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

The league is modeled on the IPL format to boost visibility and impact across Andhra Pradesh.

Seven teams will compete for the Andhra Premier League (APL) Trophy this year:

• Royals of Rayalaseema
• Tungabhadra Warriors
• Simhadri Vizag Lions
• Kakinada Kings
• Bhimavaram Bulls

Players Auction for Andhra Premier League 2025

The players’ auction for Andhra Premier League (APL) Season 4 took place on July 14, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Visakhapatnam.

• Player Pool: A total of 520 players registered. They were split into four groups:
  • Marquee (top stars): 9 players
  • Grade A: 21 players
  • Grade B: 112 players
  • Grade C: 378 players
• Auction Purse and Team Budget: Each of the seven teams had a budget of ₹35 lakh. Franchises used this budget to bid for 18–20 players and build their squads.
• Youth Quota Rule: To promote young talent, every franchise was required to sign at least two Under-19 players from the auction pool.
