INS Kursura Submarine Museum Vizag - The First Submarine Museum in Asia
INS Kursura Submarine was India's Fifth Submarine. INS Kursura Submarine Played a vital key role in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and in patrol missions and also participated in International Naval Fleets and other visits.
INS Kursura Submarine is constructed by Russians. It was a diesel-electric variant and it is a variant of Foxtrot Class.
INS Kursura Submarine was commissioned in 1969 on 18th December and reached India in 1970. It served the Indian Navy greatly until the year 2001 and later it was decommissioned in the year 2001 on 27th February at RK Beach Visakhapatnam.
INS Kursura Submarine is the first submarine turned museum in Asia. It was turned into a Museum at RK Beach Visakhapatnam on 27th February, 2001.
